Ulusaba Rock Lodge
From €857 per person per night
Ulusaba is Sir Richard Branson’s private game reserve in South Africa.
The name means “Place Of Little Fear”, referring to the granite koppie (hill) which provided ancient Shangaan warriors with the perfect lookout point. Today, that vantage point belongs to guests at Ulusaba Rock Lodge. With the Drakensberg Mountains far in the distance, you’ll have a spectacular view over miles of game-rich African wilderness.
The lodge features 8 rooms: the Master Suite, Makwela Suites, Rock Cliff rooms, and the Rock Suite. The four adjoining Rock Cliff rooms all face south, with private balconies offering views over the vast landscape. Two of these rooms are built on split levels, with a spiral staircase connecting the bedroom and bathroom. The Master Suite, meanwhile, is built on three levels with beautiful views from the private balcony and infinity plunge pool.
The view is the main attraction here, and the Ulusaba Rock Lodge delivers with various viewing decks.
Beneath the main lounge is a wine lounge showcasing a wide variety of vintages from South Africa and abroad. This space may also be used for private dinners for up to six guests.
Children of all ages welcome.
