Londolozi Varty Camp has a deep heritage, with some saying that its campfire has been burning for nearly 100 years.
What is certainly true is that the lodge provides guests with an exclusive, luxurious safari experience in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, right on the banks of the Sand River.
The lodge is perfect for families, with some of the chalets being interleading. Each room has its own private swimming pool, outdoor shower and outdoor dining deck (sala), framed by raised timber decks. Other facilities include a Photographic Studio and the restorative Healing House, which reflects the lodge’s wellness safari philosophy. The “original Sparta Camp” located in the heart of Varty Camp, represents generations of history which echoes a bygone era before Londolozi existed. The Futuristic African Village, meanwhile, reveals Londolozi Game Reserve’s way of retro-African living and permaculture in action.
The word Londolozi comes from the isiZulu language, and means “Protector Of All Living Things”. That spirit of conservation carries through the lodge’s full suite of Photographic Safaris, Honeymoon Safaris, Luxury Wellness Safaris, and Luxury Family Safaris. No two days are the same here: the experience is tailored to suit individual preferences and expectations, with life largely determined by the seasons.
