Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge is – quite literally – embraced by the African landscape.
It is sculpted into a slope of the earth, using texture, light, space and natural wooden sculptures to create one of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve’s most environmentally sensitive properties.
The lodge is home to 13 ultra-luxurious suites, each of which has individually designed furniture, a private plunge pool, an en suite glass-fronted bathroom and indoor and outdoor shower.
The outdoor boma’s walls are sculpted from tree roots, enhancing the drama of the African night. That sense of being part of the natural environment continues through the indoor/outdoor dining area, which overlooks a waterhole and the surrounding bushveld; the secluded library, art gallery, and meditation garden; the Amani Spa at Earth Lodge; and an underground wine cellar with a collection of over 6 000 bottles of rare wines.
Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge offers morning and evening safari game drives, Photographic Safaris, and – for intimate encounters with Africa’s smaller wildlife – guided bush walks. Visits to the local Shangaan community are also available.
