Sabi Sabi Selati Camp
From AUD2,195 per person per night
During the 1870s, a railway line ran through the southern part of what is now the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, transporting gold from the Drakensberg escarpment to the Mozambican port of Delagoa Bay.
The old railbed can still be seen today, close to Sabi Sabi Selati Camp, where the historic railway theme echoes through the lodge’s classic vintage décor.
This exclusive lodge comprises seven opulent thatched suites, each with full bathroom en suite and private outdoor shower nestled under majestic indigenous trees. The premier accommodation here is the sumptuous Ivory Presidential Suite, with its original antiques and draped four-poster bed; and the Lourenco Marques Suite, which is a must for honeymooners or romantics. Those romantics will also love Sabi Sabi Selati Camp’s sensational Safari Weddings and Honeymoon Safaris.
World-class cuisine is served on wooden decks alongside the Msuthlu riverbed, either in the open air boma or in the farmhouse kitchen. Activities at Sabi Sabi Selati Camp include tours of the local Shangaan community, as well as guided bush walks, and morning and evening safari game drives, with Photographic Safaris being a particular highlight.
Children of all ages welcome, with Terms & Conditions regarding activities.
