Old meets new here, as antique-style beds sit alongside ultra-modern comforts. Each of the 12 air conditioned guest cottages has its own private veranda, looking out over rolling lawns and the Sand River.
Guests enjoy tea on the lawn, while breakfast and lunch are served on the shady verandas. Dinner, meanwhile, is a magnificent affair, provided in a boma, on the lawns, or in a candlelit bush setting.
The spirit of a classic safari is felt throughout the property, as guests enjoy access to 10 500 hectares (26 000 acres) of exclusive-use land that is home not only to Africa’s famous Big Five, but to many other rare species as well. Early morning and late-afternoon safari game drives, interpretive bush walks, and birding or photographic safaris are led by trained teams of field guides and trackers, who draw on their wealth of bush knowledge to provide the best possible game viewing experience.
